I ordered the ‘bloody vegans’ for $22, which was a beetroot and potato cake with roast tomatoes, balsamic glaze, rocket and I also added poached eggs for that extra protein in the morning! The cake itself was lovely, even if I did come across the odd potato skin which could have done with a bit more mashing, but the breakfast as a whole was a perfect size with perfectly runny eggs.
The scrambled eggs and toast looked delicious, and I’m told they never disappoint; the coffee (soy flat white) was nice; each tea pot was individual and we got a particular funky one; and the whole restaurant was large, not overly busy but good for a Thursday morning.
They didn’t have a particularly vast amount of choice for vegetarians/vegans in the evening, but their desserts sound great and if I was in Perth longer I definitely would have gone again.

Tucked away in Labour in Vain Yard off St Giles Street, Wild Thyme is one of my favourite places to eat in all of Norwich. Every single item is vegetarian, with many vegan and gluten free available as well (or can be adapted to) so all needs are catered for. It is fittingly located above a healthy food shops, with wooden floor boards, teal blue accents and a very ‘shabby chic’ look about it.
